We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Buyer to join an established Commercial Team. As the Buyer you’ll be responsible for your own product categories.

You will be experienced in international buying/sourcing, for direct product, which includes the construction and evaluation of complex tenders and a good understanding of contractual terms and conditions. Your background should include experience that coversmake versus buy, cost reduction programmes, supplier negotiation, project management, along with product sourcing preferably within the furniture manufacturing industry.

Your responsibilities will include adhering to the tendering schedule and ensuring a timely resolution to tenders and contractual terms. You will also be involved in new product development and the timely delivery from concept to manufacture.

You should be self-motivated, possess an outstanding commercial acumen, excellent communication skills and a proven track record and be able to work to a tight schedule. You should be computer literate together with Microsoft; word, Excel and Powerpointand have an excellent commercial ability.

You should be CIP’s qualified working towards at least level 4 and possess a full driving licence. Part of the role will include visits to both UK and European suppliers, so a flexible approach is required.
