A Buyer is required for a successful furniture manufacturing and distribution organisation within Birmingham. Within this position, there is competitive salary and benefits packages.

The business is a specialist manufacturer which has been established for decades and is currently going through a high level of growth. They are putting together a whole new commercial and purchasing team to give the business the best platform to enablethem to grow sustainably.

As a Buyer you will support the business in its Purchasing activities you will be responsible for Category Management, Supplier Management, and Purchasing strategy all to support the business to ensure it has the right materials and products at the righttime to fulfill its orders.

**Key job duties as a Buyer**:

- Responsibility for your designated category/categories
- Assist in product development, from concept through to manufacturer
- Supplier Management and sourcing new suppliers
- Tender Management
- Work with suppliers to ensure service levels are being met and develop strong relationships

**To be successful in becoming their new Buyer you will**:

- Have worked within a fast-paced, commercial environment within a purchasing role ideally as a Buyer or Senior Buyer
- Experienced in working with suppliers
- Have experience in managing tenders and have a thorough knowledge of contract terms.
- Be very organised with attention to detail
- Ability to use ME Excel to an intermediate level
