**Business Development Director - Specialist Engineering & Maintenance Services**
Salary c£55k + benefits including a car allowance, OTE £90k
**ABOUT US**
Founded in 2006, we continue to grow, offering consulting and niche engineering and maintenance services predominantly to the energy, waste and biomass sectors across the UK and Ireland. Services are based around a number of niche on-load boiler cleaning techniquesinvolving engineered systems and services. **POSITION OVERVIEW**
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Business Development Director will have overall responsibility for sales, marketing, and advertising activities. The role seeks to establish and maintain our position as the industry leader, setting us apart from competitors.You will be responsible for ensuring professional account management is provided to clients, making commercial recommendations and decisions on offered services, as well as setting out the company’s Sales Strategy using reliable business intelligence to identifygaps in existing markets as well as new target markets to expand our existing client portfolio.
**DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES AS BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR**:
- Responsible for all aspects of sales - formulating, delivering, and managing the sales strategy to increase turnover, Chairing sales meetings
- Assisting with development of our business plan; producing sales projections and market share estimates
- Leading and delivering client liaison to develop customer relations, increase market share and sales revenue
- Contacting and regular communications to potential clients. Suppling appropriate marketing materials depending on the potential needs of the client, arranging site visits
- Managing all aspects of proposals including pricing; agreeing and compiling sales related contracts; reviewing pricing and achieving margins; ensuring compliance with client contractual requirements
- Maintaining the CRM to ensure correct, up to date client contact information is retained and accessible
- Responsible for formulating and leading on the production of the annual marketing plans and managing the delivery of same; responsible for our online marketing presence
- Writing letters, reports, and case studies for digital or traditional media
- Attending exhibitions and conferences; networking and meeting with potential clients at shows and following up on contacts made
**KEY APPLICANT SKILLS & EXPERIENCE**:
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Strong business acumen
- Adept at negotiating sound deals
- Previous business development/sales experience in a similar role within an engineering or similar related field - for example the Power sector would be a very good match
- Professional approach to work, adhering to best practice and providing a high-quality service to customers
**OTHER**
Ability to work remotely, and from our HQ in Surrey alongside travel to client sites across the UK and the Republic of Ireland.
**PACKAGE**:
Basic salary circa £55k (with annual OTE of circa £90k), negotiable dependent on skills and experience; additional benefits include electric car scheme/Car Allowance; Pension; 22 days PLUS bank holidays increasing with each years’ service; working hours Mon-Fri;intensive product training on our products, processes, and services; remote/hybrid working as appropriate
