Job Title: Credit Controller

Location: Ellesmere Port, Great Sutton

Terms: Part Time, Mon - Fri, Permanent

Reports to: Branch Manager

**About the Role**:We are seeking to find a highly organised and efficient Credit Controller to join our team here at T.E Hughes & Son. You will play a pivotal role in managing the company’s ledgers, collection of outstanding invoices, supporting cash flow and improving financial performance.

**Responsibilities**:

- Monitor and manage the collection of outstanding debts from customers.
- Ensure timely and effective collection of customer payments.
- Evaluate new credit requests and review customers credit ratings.
- Liaise with customers to resolve any queries regarding invoices or payments.
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Follow up on overdue invoices and implement company credit control procedures.
- Support in developing and improving credit control processes.
- Bank reconciliations.

**Qualifications/skills**:

- GCSE or equivalent (required)
- Strong communication skills
- Account/Credit Control Experience: 2 years preferred
- IT skills (preferred)
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Sage accounting software.
- Strong problem solving skills.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Expected hours: 20 per week
