**Jobs Direct is looking for Assistant Screen Print Co-ordinator.**

**Job purpose**
- To assist the Screen Print Coordinator with scheduling production output to agreed targets, and in tandem with the Shop Floor Manager.
- To organise colour queue dispensing.
- To carry out any administrative duties in line with the role.

**Job duties Production management**
- Schedule production orders for screen print areas, rotary, gali, hand and flatbed.
- Liaise with the warehouse for fabric and paper stock.
- Liaise with fabric coordinator for any fabric stock, preparation or stentoring needed.
- Schedule any sanforising/finishing.
- Ensure that the filing of invoices, associated job sheets and production files is carried out on a regular basis.
- Follow up on any enquiries for the department, internal or external.
- Prepare quotations and lead times for orders, liaising with customers throughout to delivery of goods.
- Oversee production of work, ensuring that quality standards are maintained according to customer requirements.
- Ensure confidentiality and diplomacy are maintained at all times to protect the interests of the company and customers alike.
- Agree with realistic timescales for any pre or post-processing and inspection with relevant departments to ensure production is completed and goods are delivered on time.
- Coordinate production to take account of staff holidays.
- Ensure inputs, i.e. fabric, wallpaper, screens and colour are ready and available for production schedule.
- Ensure that production administrative systems (both computer-based and manual) are used comprehensively and correctly.
- Resolve any customer queries and complaints.
- In liaison with senior managers, negotiate discounts with customers for any rejected production and provide comprehensive advice to Accounts regarding any credit requests.
- Implement production improvements for efficiency, quality, health & safety and environmental activities to agreed targets.

**Colour Queue Dispensing**
- Issue correct colour recipes for dispensing.
- Monitor colour usage and update the system to ensure the colour is not wasted on future orders.
- Ensure accurate record keeping and timely correction of recipes as needed.
- Undertake training as needed to support the colour matching process.

**Housekeeping**
- Ensure the production office area is kept clean, tidy and safe for all staff.
- Ensure that customers or visitors under your care are fully supported to meet their production needs and that they are closely monitored to ensure their health & safety needs are met and that confidentiality of other customers’ work is maintained as far as possible.
- Carry out any other tasks commensurate with the role according to business needs.

**Job holder profile Qualifications and experience**
- Ideally 1 year’s experience in customer support including resolution of complaints.
- Knowledge and experience of screen printing methods and quality control preferred
- Knowledge and experience of order processing are preferred
- Knowledge and experience of MS Office and Internet usage are essential.

The basic salary is £19,000 to £22,000 plus overtime
Working hours - 8.00 am to 4.00 pm 30 minutes for lunch
Work days - Monday to Friday

Annual leave - 28 days including bank holidays.
