We are looking for 2 proactive and enthusiastic Tobacco Treatment Advisorsto join the Trust'sQUIT Team. We are committed to working with staff and service users to treat tobacco dependence and support smokers to reap the huge health and wealth benefits of quitting smoking.
Joining the **QUIT Team **will give you an opportunity to be part of a motivated and caring team that is already saving lives and decreasing health inequalities.
You will ideally have experience in the field of treating tobacco dependence or smoking cessation and have the qualities required to support to people with severe mental health conditions or learning disabilities, on our wards or in the community.You will also provide advice, training and support to clinical staff in managing tobacco dependence.
As part of the Trust's Quality Directorate, we work across all areas of the Trust's clinical services - inpatient and community. We operate from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Fridays.
Strong interpersonal skills are essential, as are excellent organisational skills and experience of using information technology Your enthusiasm will help you act as a smoke free champion, promoting the Trust's smoke free policy and smoke free message through your day-to-day work.
The post is funded byYorkshire Cancer Researchto help deliver the QUIT Programme as part of the charity's goal to save lives in Yorkshire.
