Worth are recruiting a resourceful, hard-working and flexible Examinations Officer to join the School in September or October and to provide high quality organisational and administrative support. The postholder will manage all public and many of the internal examinations/assessments, and take responsibility for related administration, working closely with key colleagues, including Heads of Department, the IB Coordinator and the Head of Learning Support.
The Examinations officer will liaise with the Deputy Head (Academic) and School Admissions team to administer the School’s examinations effectively, therefore enabling all pupils to perform at their best and ensuring that their performance receives the recognition that it deserves. These examinations include (i)GCSE, GCE, and IB examinations, both internal and public.
This role is predominantly term-time based, with some additional weeks in the School holidays (37.5 hours per week for 41 weeks of the year).
**As Examinations Officer, your responsibilities would include**:
- Liaising with Heads of Department to obtain full and accurate lists of students who are to be entered for examinations.
- Ensuring accurate registration and entry to public examinations.
- Ensuring the smooth running and integrity of all systems and procedures related to examinations and full compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Devising a detailed planning schedule to help inform appropriate administration of the examination process and to meet all external and internal deadlines.
- Creating and publicising examination, rooming and invigilation timetables to staff and pupils.
**What we are looking for**:
- Experience of working in a School environment.
- Preferably previous experience as an Exam Invigilator.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Data Management skills would be an advantage.
