We’re looking for a committed, caring, and resilient individual to join our residential team in **Wythenshawe**. In this rewarding role, you’ll support children and young people with learning disabilities—helping them grow, thrive, and achieve a brighter future.

**About the role**:
As a **Residential Childcare Worker** you’ll play a vital role in delivering daily care, emotional support, and meaningful interactions that help each young person grow and thrive in a safe, nurturing environment. Working within the home’s Therapeutic Model, you’ll collaborate closely with our in-house therapeutic practitioners to ensure every young person receives the consistent, personalised support they need to make lasting, positive changes in their lives.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Support children and young people with a range of learning disabilities in their everyday routines
- Promote independence and encourage participation in household and community activities
- Help manage personal care needs where required, with dignity and respect
- Build trusting relationships and provide emotional support
- Follow individual care plans and contribute to their development
- Work effectively as part of a consistent and professional care team, including undertaking sleep-in, shift/rota work (including weekends)
- Maintain detailed and accurate records
**What We’re Looking For**:
- Experience working with children, young people or adults with learning disabilities
- NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare or equivalent (or willingness to work towards)
- Empathetic, patient, and positive attitude
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A calm and proactive approach to challenges
- Full UK driving licence (desirable but not essential)
