Job Introduction
**Technical Specialist - Control Room**

**Salary - £30,024 - £33,699 (Grade 5) + 10% shift allowance**

**Hours - 37 hours per week between 06:00 - 20:00hrs Monday-Friday and 09:00-18:30hrs Saturday across 5 out of 7day period.**

**Contract type - Full time, permanent**

**Workstyle - Fixed**

**This role requires a Current valid UK driving licence.**

**As part of this role, you will participate in an out of hours service between 20:00-06:00hrs Monday-Friday, Saturday before 09:00hrs and after 18:30hrs and Sundays, as required.**

We are seeking a skilled Technical Specialist to join our Network Management Control Room team. As a Technical Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the efficient operation and maintenance of our Control Room systems, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements.

Role responsibilities:

- To operate the systems, for the effective and efficient operation and maintenance of the Control Room including TMS, CCTV, MYCITY and Car Park control and access systems.
- To ensure such systems are operated in compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements including the Traffic Management Act 2004 and the Data Protection Act 1998.
- To work under the supervision and general direction of the Technical Specialist Control Room Systems.
- To assist with the financial management of the service including annual charges review, monitoring budgets, processing purchase orders, invoices, sales orders and chasing outstanding income.

Role requirements:

- Current full UK driving licence.
- Relevant experience in a highway or customer service environment

**Our working arrangements**

All council roles are allocated to either a fixed, field or flexible work style.
