**About the Opportunity**:
Working as a HSE Advisor and part of the Field Services business you will be a member of a construction focused engineering team working on various projects in and around the East of England, Suffolk area. The role involves promoting and influencing HSE behaviours and cultures across the line of business portfolio. The individual will be engaged in multiple projects with the main focus area being the construction of a large pumping station at Ipswich.

We are seeking an aspiring or developing HSE Advisor to engage with all the operational team through all life cycle phases of a project involving the Strategic Pipeline Alliance with the client being Anglian Water.

Based on site, which is Wherstead, Ipswich you will work in the role of HSE Advisor engaging directly with the construction management team, overlooking the governance of the Health and Safety across the Alliance whilst being accountable for ensuring the safe delivery of contracts and projects and adding value through innovation and best practices.

Working closely as a team and reporting directly to the HSE Manager, with key interfaces within the business such as Project Managers, direct reports, and other managers in all departments.

**The role will be responsible for**:

- Ensuring delivery meets the company and client requirements by determining safe methods of working, identifying hazards and unsafe conditions, and advise on written method statements, assist in producing risk assessments; Preparation and review of safety documentation;
- Advise and support site managers in the production of an HSE plan, so that best practice is consistently applied (CDM2015);
- Carry out site safety inspections and audits and promote a strong safety culture throughout the workforce to improve behavioural safety;
- Development of forward initiatives to address current environment, Learning From Experience and enable continuous improvement;
- Ensure management and workforce are aware of Site Licensing Conditions, site requirements, H, S&E legislation, environmental consents, impact assessments and codes of practice and any changes which may occur;
- Engagement at all levels within the organization - engineers to craft and at senior levels when appropriate;
- Injury/incident reporting and investigation.

**Here’s What You’ll Need**:

- NEBOSH qualified, general or construction are essential;
- Member of IOSH preferred;
- Significant site and construction experience;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Good interpersonal skills and a willingness to work with people at all levels of an organisation;
- Experience of formulating, implementing, and revising H&S policies and procedures;
- Strong IT skills, office 365 knowledge essential;
- Good knowledge of CDM 2015;
- UK Citizenship.
