It’s now one of the most diverse and highly efficient bakery manufacturers in the UK, serving both the retail and foodservice industries.
We are recruiting for a HR Coordinator to join our HR Team on site at our bakery. The HR Coordinator will assist the HR team in a HR generalist capacity to ensure a smooth running of all the daily HR activity including Employee Relations, Disciplinary, Payroll, Recruitment, Employee Engagement and more. The HR Coordinator will form as an integral part of the HR team to deliver a professional service to the business. This is a site based position but we are able to offer one day a week to be worked remotely if you desire. However when you’re on site, we hope you like the smell of freshly baked bread, muffins and doughnuts, as these are just a selection of what we make across the factory.
This role also offers training and development including supporting with your CIPD course.

**This is what you’ll actually do**
As the HR Coordinator you will manage the new starter process including preparing and issuing contracts, coordinating all new starter paperwork and being involved with the HR induction for our team members to ensure a positive on-boarding experience. You’ll record daily absences, track Return to Work forms and calculate Bradford Factor upon employee’s return to work. Schedule any necessary absence reviews with employees and the relevant manager, be present at the meetings to take comprehensive notes.
You will assist the HR Advisor with preparation of any formal letters, including Absence Reviews, AWOL and invites to any investigation/disciplinary meetings. Support with the referral of employees to our Occupational Health provider, ensuring employees have received the relevant medical checks and OH appointments are booked when necessary and support the HR team with low level ER activity.
As the HR Coordinator you will record any employee change of details and updating the system accordingly, liaising closely with payroll to ensure all details are updated. Maintain the employee electronic file system, including new starters and leavers.
Also you will assist with employee engagement activities onsite, this will include coordinating all internal communications and supporting the HR team with HR projects on site and as part of the larger Group.
**Ideally this is you**
- Previous experience in either a similar HR position, a recent HR Graduate or experience in a similar admin/planning role in a fast paced working environment
- An understanding of HR Practices
- Confident with communicating with a wide range of stakeholders.
- A working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.
- Highly orgnaised and detail oriented
- Good administration skills
- Clear communication skills
- Passionate about HR
