Mental Health Support Worker

Halcyon Health & Social Care are recruiting for a fantastic opportunity for a support worker to work within a residential setting for adult male ex-offenders who may also suffer with mental health issues, autism and learning disabilities. The service is set within a beautiful 250-acre working farm on the outskirts of Wells and boasts an outstanding reputation for providing a holistic and integrated approach, combining practical skills and therapy-based support to help vulnerable individualsto live their lives to their full potential. Residents take an active role in caring for a range of livestock including a sheep, cattle, pigs, and donkeys. There are managed woodlands and farmlands that residents work to produce crops for wholesale and for animal feed. In addition to these skills, the Farm provides a range of craft workshops, speech and language therapies, literacy and numeracy, employability and daily living skills. Free DBS and Free Training We are committed to ongoing development and support and provide free specialist training courses to develop and support career progression. **What we are looking for in our Support Workers**: Experience of working with young people in a residential care setting. Able to recognise conflict and challenging behaviour and situations with young people.
