We are looking for a Head of Marine Claims (M/F/d), based in London

**Your Team**

Our Marine Claims team is comprised of skilled professionals dedicated to managing and resolving marine insurance claims efficiently and effectively. **The Impact You Will Have**

Reporting to the Regional Head of Claims, you will spearhead strategic initiatives to optimize claims processes, enhance customer satisfaction, and mitigate risks, ultimately driving operational efficiency and business growth. Your leadership will elevate our reputation as a trusted marine insurance provider, shaping industry standards and fostering strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. Claims is a key value proposition within the Large Corporate and Specialty business and as so you will work closely with Underwriters in winning and retaining key accounts.

**Some of your specific responsibilities could include**:
- Lead and manage a Claims team inclluding senior claims handlers.- Manage the handling of all standard and complex claims within UK Marine.- Ensure claims are handled in line with AGCS Claims Standards procedures and guidelines.- Utilise third party service providers to achieve economical results and to provide a high quality service to all internal and external customers.- Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients.- Promote a customer focused approach to Claims Handling that enforces Claims' position as a key value proposition and support UW and Distribution in selling AGCS products and services.- Seek continual improvements to Claims process to ensure efficiency allowing lower claims management costs and to allow claims handlers to focus on providing excellent customer experience.

**What You’ll Bring to the Role**- Extensive experience in marine claims management within the insurance industry.- In-depth knowledge of marine insurance products, policies, and claims processes.- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of engaging with diverse stakeholders.- Strategic mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.

**Further Information**:
**Only for Austria**- Starting date: immediately I Working hours: 38.5 hours per week | Location: Vienna- Annual gross salary: from EUR 35.000, depending on qualifications there is a willingness to overpay

**For Working student / Intern positions**- Duration at least 6 months (preferably longer)- Working hours: 38 hours/week or 20 hours/week- Enrollment at the university/college is a prerequisite for the duration of employment.
