**IT Programme Manager - Financial Services - INSIDE IR35**

We have one of our biggest customers looking for an experienced **IT Programme Manager with a Financial Services background to join them on an initial 6 month contract (INSIDE IR35)**

**Role Purpose**

The **Senior PM / Programme Manager** role is within the Project Delivery team, reporting directly to the Head of Project Delivery.

The purpose of this role is to lead a major IT programme that is replacing an existing document management system with new capabilities. This will involve working with architects and others to shape the solution, migration approach and delivery plan, andthen driving that plan to meet the agreed budget and timescales.

**Responsibilities**
- Work with architects and senior stakeholders to shape the solution, ensuring this meets business needs and is deliverable within acceptable budgets and timescales.
- Ensure that the IT solution is properly understood by business stakeholders, and that the business requirements are properly understood by the IT delivery team.
- Own the IT project plan, ensuring this is always up to date.
- Produce regular updates for Steering Groups and senior stakeholders ensuring that the messages in them are clear and unambiguous.
- Keep an up to date risk and issue log and ensure that these are actively managed.
- Work with development and resource managers to ensure that the required resources are mobilised in a timely manner and that the skills required are clear.
- Work to keep the extended project team focussed, engaged and motivated to drive performance to project goals.
- Continually seek ways to improve quality, cost and schedule performance.
- Ensure that change is implemented with mínimal adverse impact to live service and that standards for service readiness are followed.
- Ensure the project/programme is executed with appropriate regard to technology strategy, policies and governance.

**Experience/Skills/Qualifications**
- Proven experience of managing complex IT projects and programmes ideally in a Financial Services environment
- Stature & gravitas to operate alongside senior stakeholders in IT and the wider Business with substantial experience of presenting and negotiating.
- Proven leadership skills with drive and dynamic approach to drive pace and commitment across the team and build trusted long-term relationships with stakeholders
- Excellent Knowledge of project management practices, methods and tools
- Project/Programme Management Certification (e.g. APMP, Prince2 or equivalent)
- Strong commercial acumen and business awareness. Extensive knowledge of relevant systems and processes and full understanding of potential impact of programme and the confidence and experience to provide innovative solutions and initiatives
- Strong technology awareness (systems, technologies, development cycles)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office and Project Management tools
- Education - Degree standard or equivalent business experience
