**What does the role involve?**

The post holder will lead on all Fleet related matters, ensuring that all vehicles are operated safely, efficiently and in support of the business’s commercial objectives.

The vehicle fleet is predominantly small vans, company cars and a number of rigid vehicles.

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that all financial, administrative processes and records of the group’s vehicles are administered effectively, timely and in a cost-effective manner.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Proactively manage all relationships with regional garages/service centres, ensuring vehicle downtime is minimised
- Work collaboratively with the Commercial Team to ensure fleet supplier framework terms are competitive and compliant
- Lead on all repair quotations, ensuring value for money
- Proactively manage the status of all vehicle warranties, challenging repairs as appropriate
- Data maintenance and upkeep of all fleet portals e.g. (Web-fleet; Internal Trackers, Fuel Wise and others)
- Support the Commercial and Operational Teams in the fleet renewal program, ensuring no service impacts
- Manage and overview the group’s fleet of vehicles and best use, including any short-term hire cover to service customer needs
- Manage, maintain, and communicate all planned service, MOT, and legal inspections
- Point of contact for all breakdowns and unplanned events, managed through to effective conclusions
- Manage the group’s authorised drivers, processing penalty notices and conducting regular audits to ensure compliance
- Coordinate any investigations in relation to accidents and reports as required
- Primary point of contact for insurance and brokers
- Monitor fuel usage and management of fuel cards
- Registering, taxation and licensing of all vehicles and maintaining up to date maintenance information including providing accurate and up to date information to Payroll in respect of P11d’s.

**What do we expect from you?**
- At least 12 months experience in Fleet/Operational Management
- Relevant transport qualification is desirable
- Advanced administration skills
- Ability to negotiate and influence
- Proven track record working in a fast paced, reactive environment
- Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously
- Commercial awareness
- Flexibility to work at various UK locations as required
- IT literate with MS Office including excel
- Excellent communication skills
- Adaptive listening skills

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
