Our technology teams in the UK work closely with HSBC’s global businesses to help design and build digital services that allow our millions of customers around the world, to bank quickly, simply and securely.
WPB Tech has experienced significant growth and change within recent years which drove the need for us to undertake a strategic review of our current Target Operating Model and Organisational Leadership Structure. The creation of the defined Value Streams (VS) and Sub-Value Streams (SVS) will drive joint delivery of business outcomes through deep partnership between Business, Markets, Technology and Digital.
The Head of Accounts Technology owns the Technology Delivery within a Value Stream as part of three-in-a-box leadership VS structure, managing Tech delivery and risk and Tech input to business design and prioritisation decisions.
**Principal Accountabilities**:
- To be constantly focused on ensuring that the Regional Head is supported at all times by anticipating workload and provision of appropriate materials, briefings and agendas.
- High level of integrity, handling confidential and sensitive matters in a professional manner at all times
- Produce and maintain a yearly timeline of travel and key meeting dates
- Ability to join critical meetings and take actions as needed
- Ability to manage and monitor inbox, passing necessary actions to the OIC during the global heads leave of absence of travel.
- Ability to approve critical operational HR and service now tasks.
- Recommend a suitable agenda for the Regional Head’s travel by reaching out to locations to decide on meetings schedule to ensure maximum exposure and key stakeholders are met
- Ability to have a sufficient level of expertise in their area to deputise for their manager and actively participate in meetings. They will also oversee small projects and have some decision making authority and autonomy.
Requirements
- Prior experience in a senior PA/EA role are essential
- Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills are essential
- Need to have excellent organisational, communicational skills and have a methodical approach to tasks
- Will need to demonstrate attention to detail along with able to work in pressurised environment and manage priorities effectively
- Demonstrates initiative and anticipates requirements
- Self motivated with the ability to work under own initiative and with minimum supervision
- Excellent customer care skills and telephone manner, be well presented, confident and reliable
**This role is based in Sheffield or Birmingham and offers hybrid working**
