We are currently seeking an ambitious and driven 3D/CAD Wheel Designer.

Utilising your design experience and innovative thinking, you will be tasked with working with both our Automotive Design Manager and our Design Director to bring our market-leading alloy wheel designs to reality.

**Responsibilities**
- Translate finalised 2D wheel designs into 3D CAD models for development with a range of global wheel manufacturers / factories.
- Maintain a strong focus on preservation of design intent throughout development cycles, solving technical issues in conjunction with factories' technical departments, with mínimal impact on the original designs.
- Optimise production wheel CAD based on the specific production methods involved - forged, cast, flow-formed etc.
- Play a leading role in determining wheel fitments and specifications for each individual wheel project.
- Provide team members, where required, with comprehensive advice on technical aspects of individual wheel developments, and wheel-related technical matters generally.
- Development of wheel accessories e.g. centre caps in conjunction with other members of the Design team.
- Dependent on skillset, you may be required to participate in non-automotive design projects.

**Skills and Qualifications**
- Educated to Bachelor’s or Master’s degree level in Transportation Design, Vehicle Design, Automotive Design or equivalent.
- Previous wheel design experience essential.
- Detailed knowledge of all principal wheel production technologies and production methods.
- Knowledge of offset and PCD wheel fitment
- High level of skill in 3D software, preferably Rhino or Alias.
- Good understanding of the Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop and Illustrator - preferred.
- Excel at creating and maintaining cross-functional working relationships.
- Exceptional visual and oral communication skills.
- Must be self-motivated and able to manage multiple concurrent projects.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £50,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 8 - 40 per week
