Join **The Marcliffe** as our **Events Coordinator** and play a key role in planning, coordinating, and delivering exceptional events - from intimate gatherings to large-scale functions. You’ll be part of our close-knit Sales & Events team, ensuring every guest experience is memorable and every event runs smoothly from start to finish. This role reports to the **Events Manager**.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

As **Events Coordinator**, you will:

- Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Manage event bookings from enquiry to completion, ensuring a seamless handover to the operational delivery team.
- Prepare and distribute event documents such as function sheets, menus, seating plans, and collateral.
- Handle sales and event administration, including diary management, market research, and sales materials.
- Conduct hotel show-rounds and attend sales/networking events to drive new business.
- Proactively upsell and maximise revenue opportunities.
- Work closely with the wider hotel team to ensure exceptional guest experiences.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Food Safety, and all relevant legislation.

**ABOUT YOU**
- Previous experience in an events role within a hospitality environment.
- Excellent organisational and coordination skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong customer service ethos and confident communicator (both verbal and written).
- Proactive, creative, and commercially aware, with a flair for sales.
- Able to multitask and work under pressure to tight deadlines.
- Team player with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Flexible to work occasional evenings, weekends, and busy seasonal periods.
- At least 1 years’ experience in a front desk or customer service role (4 or 5-star environment preferred)
- Friendly, professional, and able to multitask with a calm and proactive attitude
- Excellent communication skills and a great team player
- Strong time management and attention to detail

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
