**Position**: Response officer
**Hours**: Full-time, 41 hours per week Monday-Sunday
**Shift patterns**:3 on 2 off
**Transport**:Access to a vehicle or good transport links
**Requirements**:SIA licence
- Ensure a warm welcome is provided to all staff, guests and visitors entering the Gallery.
- Ensure Access Control measures are strictly adhered to as set out in Assignment Instructions, Standard Operating Procedures and the client’s Admissions Policy. Preventing and deterring unauthorised access to site and ensuring all attempts or actual access control breaches are responded to and escalated appropriately.
- Respond professionally and politely to all staff and visitor concerns or issues, escalating to the Visitor Engagement team or a manager appropriately.
- Provide a first line response to incidents within the boundary of the Gallery’s property line.
- Ensuring equipment is in correct location and in good working order (escalating any equipment issues to the onsite Security Duty Manager). Following briefings and training on how to use equipment safely and appropriately. Ensuring equipment is returned in good working order.
- Carry out emergency security procedures and incident responses according to Standard Operating Procedures (including dynamic lockdowns); follow directions of Incident Controller.
- Support and follow Evacuation (including Fire Evacuations) procedures and ensure daily Gallery closures are actioned safely and securely.
- Conduct external and internal security patrols effectively, safely and as directed. Escalating any Health&Safety, Fire or Security Hazards to the onsite Security Duty Manager as appropriate.
- Follow Health & Safety (including Fire Safety) procedures at all times. Adhering to the Securitas Safety First campaign and reporting all accidents and near-misses to the onsite Security Duty Manager as and when they happen.
- To adhere to and implement any temporary or new permanent change to a security process as directed by the client and Securitas senior management team if a threat level is altered.
- To respond to First Aid incidents.
- To report instances of property being at risk of being lost, stolen, damaged or vandalised. Ensure all lost property is handed over to be logged.
- Conduct security checks including: bag searching; visitor screening; operating security arches/wands as required.
- Provide initial investigation response and incident reporting (verbally and in writing) on incidents, suspicious activity/objects/vehicles. Ensure incident reports are completed accurately.
- Response to Panic Alarm activation's within the Gallery.
- Response to all requests to assistance when requested to do.
- Assist in salvage duties when requested to do so.
- Conducting Fire Marshall duties.
- Follow instructions from IMR Coordinator, Control Room, Security Duty Managers and Senior team regarding operational matters and cascading information to team members where required.
- Punctuality: ensuring set-up requirements for Gallery opening are actioned and that you are in position
- Demonstrate understanding and engagement with the Securitas Core Values of Integrity, Vigilance and Helpfulness, whilst showing a natural ability to recognise risk within the workplace and consider safety as a priority, complying with relevant policies, procedures and training as provided by the Company.
- Must have a valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence.
- 1+ year of security experience
- Must have the right to work in the UK.
- Have a five-year check able employment history or be able to produce documentary evidence of any period of unemployment, self-employment, or full and part-time education during that period.
- No current criminal convictions.
- The ability to embody and uphold the Securitas core values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
- Be punctual and reliable.
- Be willing and able to work shifts covering days, nights, and weekends.
- Be sensitive towards and show an understanding of the requirements of people with disabilities or special needs.
