We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join a premier team of Retail Buyers at the 48 Force Support Squadron, Royal Air Force (RAF) Lakenheath, United Kingdom.

**What will be your primary role?**

We are looking for someone with knowledge and experience in sourcing a variety of items by utilizing relationships with existing suppliers as well as seeking new ones ensuring all purchases are from authorized sources. You will be responsible for sourcing a variety of retail items for the Arts and Crafts Center. You will act as the section lead for the arts & crafts in the absence of a shop lead or supervision. You will conduct and maintain inventory including annual and spot check inventories. In this position you will also operate the cash register, collects money, makes changes and issues receipts

**What are the Key Skills required for this role?**

1. Experience of working in a retail environment is required.

2. Cash handling experience is required.

3. Knowledge of standardized purchasing regulations, policies, and procedures is desirable.

4. Knowledge of solicitation and purchasing methods to make purchases under established contracts and standardized

specifications or statements of work, and to interact with vendors is desirable.

5. Knowledge of price evaluation techniques to assess price reasonableness using well-established references is desirable.

6. The ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing is required.
