We are looking for someone with knowledge and experience in sourcing a variety of items by utilizing relationships with existing suppliers as well as seeking new ones ensuring all purchases are from authorised sources.

**About the role**:
You will be responsible for sourcing a variety of retail items for the Arts and Crafts Center. You will act as the section lead for the arts & crafts in the absence of a shop lead or supervision. You will conduct and maintain inventory including annual and spot check inventories. In this position you will also operate the cash register, collects money, makes changes and issues receipts. A pre-employment physical will be required for this position, this will be conducted at RAF Lakenheath.Your hours of work will be **37.5 hours per week on an as rostered schedule (this will be working any 5 days out of 7)** where start & end times may be modified due to mission needs and in accordance with the organization’s flexible working policies.

**About you**:
You will be required to have experience of working in a retail environment as well as cash handling experience and ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Its desirable that you have knowledge of standardized purchasing regulations, policies, and procedures, knowledge of solicitation and purchasing methods to make purchases under established contracts and standardized specifications or statements of work, and to interact with vendors and knowledge of price evaluation techniques to assess price reasonableness using well-established references.

You will be required to handle and safeguard sensitive information in accordance with applicable US and UK laws, rules and regulations. You may be required to travel by military and/or civilian aircraft, and you may also be required to travel to the US or other country, in the performance of official duties or attend necessary training, this position may also be coded as mission essential. You will be required to complete a **6-month** probationary period. Overtime may be required, and you may be assigned other duties not included in this position description, but that are appropriate to the grade and skill set of the incumbent. Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. You will assist personnel in other Arts and Crafts areas when needed.
