**Key Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of a Financial Controller include, but are not limited to:

- Ensuring that an organisation meets the necessary tax, permit and licencing requirements.
- Collaborating with the executive team in establishing more effective processes and controls to ensure the integrity of a company’s ledger.
- Overseeing all financial control activities, including the accurate review and analysis of monthly and quarterly numbers and disclosures and supporting improvements.
- Ownership of financial KPI’s and developing Best in class management and improvement to feedback to teams.
- Providing executive management with accurate and comprehensive financial information to guide effective policy making and financial strategizing.
- Summarising budget trends, analysing deficiencies and reporting variances to executives.
- Providing external auditors with the necessary documentation and support where required.
- Taking care of tax preparation duties or liaising with external tax accountants for tax preparation.
- Assist on Monthly /Quarterly/ Yearly Management Meetings and reporting.
- Understand Tax systems and benefits across companies.
- Mange R&D Claims / EMI Scheme / Patent Box / FCA reporting.

**The Person
The key skills and qualities of a Financial Controller are:

- Qualifications relevant to the role.
- 1-2 years’ experience within a similar role.
- Proficient Quick books or similar financial tools.
- Highly proficient with excel.
- Fathom and Microsoft BI desired but not essential. CMap?
- Uphold the Core company Mission Statement & Ethics.
- Ability to work unsupervised independently with a sense of urgency, working to tight schedules and managing multiple projects.
- Translate priorities and actions into measurable results.
- Customer-Centric.
- Ability to maintain good relationships internal & external to the Business is key. internal & external reviews will be carried out to assist in skills development and training.
