We are currently recruiting a Resident Liaison Support Worker to join our team in our Headwell House, Dunfermline home on a 30-hour weekly contract.

This is a new temporary role which is part of a trial for a 6-month test of change project at Headwell House. The contract will be reviewed after the 6 month period and employment possibly may continue after this.

The key purpose of the job role is to provide excellent interpersonal and communication skills to welcome new residents, supporting them to settle into the care home. As well as provide support to the residents currently in the home and provide a better environment from their opinions.

The Residents Liaison Support Worker is a key contact for residents and their family members wishing to raise concerns or seek information about Abbotsford’s services.

Residents Liaison Support Workers are intermediaries addressing concerns on behalf of residents and families working in tandem with the care home management team. This is done by consulting with residents and their family members routinely to gauge their satisfaction with the services provided. As well as collect information to elevate any concerns to the care home management. This then allows residents to have a support system specifically for them within the home.

We will work with you through our 16-week induction programme where you will develop the skills and knowledge required to begin your career with Abbotsford Care. You will cover a variety of training courses including Moving & Handling, Fire Safety, Dementia Awareness and Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults
