The Disability Resource Centre (DRC) is one of the leading disability organisations operating in Birmingham, Solihull and the wider West Midlands.

As the company’s Office Coordinator, you are the first point of contact for all enquiries and visitors for the businesses and tenants based at the offices. In addition to your front of house duties, you are responsible for the efficient running of the buildings on a day-to-day basis, ensuring a high
- quality service for all tenants and guests, whilst providing administrative support
to the management team. Coordinating DRCS Commercial training you will help grow and support our current commercial portfolio.

**Key Tasks**:
To coordinate DRCS commercial services including but not limited to taxi driver training. Ensuring there is adequate cover, including working with contractors and staff to schedule and grow the commercial business. Ensuring rooms are booked and administration protocols are carried out.

To support and grow volunteers to develop and run DRCs Commercial Services.

To liaise with DRC’s landlord on building and service-related issues falling within their responsibility including liaising with landlord-appointed on-site contractors

To support the Intern / Apprentice (Reception and Support Services), and any work placements or volunteers duly assigned to the team to coordinate the front of house services.

To provide support to the Compliance Officer to ensure DRC’s premises and on-site activities meet health and safety requirements and that facilities comply with legislation.

Working with the Compliance Officer, to lead on the Health and Safety Working Group producing Agendas and notes and tracking and co-ordinating the implementation of actions arising from meetings.

To maintain and update DRC’s assets register

To seek quotations and/or tenders for required goods or services and calculate and compare costs to achieve maximum value for money.

To plan for future development and oversee change to ensure minimum disruption to core activities.

To coordinate essential services including reception, mail, archiving, petty cash, timesheets and annual leave / TOIL records, ordering of stationery and other general office supplies, cleaning, room bookings and catering, waste disposal, recycling, security and maintenance liaising with the landlord’s representative as required.

Coordinate the work of DRC-appointed contractors. Checking that agreed work by staff or contractors has been completed satisfactorily and follow up on any deficiencies.

To keep staff, volunteers, contractors and visitors safe.

To act as one of DRC’s duly appointed Fire Marshalls and First Aiders undertaking regular training as required.

To respond appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise and deal with the consequences.

To be a key holder and therefore open and close the building as required.

To maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the job, participate in appropriate training activities.

To be aware of and comply with equal opportunities, health & safety, safeguarding and data protection & security legislation and all DRC policies and procedures.

To work effectively as part of a team, to be flexible and responsive to changing client needs and DRC requirements.

To undertake other delegated duties as may be required from time to time, which are commensurate with the nature and grading of the post.

The post is a 20hr part-time post, salary pro-rata of salary bandings £20,141.25 - £20,544.08p.
