**Land Buyer (Renewable Energy) Job Spec**

Firstway Solar are a growing and ambitious renewable energy land buyer based in London. Through continued investment, we are identifying new opportunities for acquiring solar farms for the purpose of renewable energy projects.

As part of our continued expansion, we are now growing our team of land buyers. The land buyer will source and acquire new land opportunities for the purpose of developing renewable energy projects.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking for a new challenge in their land & property career, with the aptitude to grow and develop in the renewable land purchase and acquisition market.

**Duties will include**:

- Research and source land deals suitable for renewable energy projects based on Firstway Solar’s criteria
- Making direct contact and building rapport and relationship with landowners and land agents
- Conducting initial due diligence and evaluation of opportunities based on Firstway Solar’s acquisition strategy
- to include market appraisal, site and planning assessment, local authority regulations
- Serving as liaison with relevant planning teams, including architects, planning consultants, viability consultants, solicitors, and all other external consultants
- Acting as the relationships manager between landowners and other parties for seamless flow of the deal from acquisition to planning approved
- Preparing land offers and Head of Terms that meet the requirements of the business
- Reporting and working closely with Senior Land Manager for successful land acquisitions
- Either a minimum 1-year experience as a land buyer/land agent AND/OR a strong property sales background
- Ability to create and build strong, long-term relationships with landowners, land agents, property sellers, etc
- Tenacity and drive to grown and be trained and coached
- High level of commercial awareness with the ability to manage a deal from initial contact to planning
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Self-motivation with a growth mindset
- Good management, administrative and entrepreneurial skills to ensure that deals are managed successfully and efficiently
- An all-round knowledge of the development industry, an excellent understanding of the planning system, building regulations and environmental considerations
- Successful track record of past property/sales deals

**Salary**: £25,917.29-£53,712.48 per year
