Lovania Nurseries is one of the leading ornamental plant producers in the UK, supplying Garden Centres and major retailers on a national scale and we are currently **looking for a meticulous and self-driven individual to join our QA Team based in and around Tarleton and Hesketh Bank.**

The Quality Assurance Officer will be responsible for promoting and maintaining consistent product quality throughout our multi-site operation. Working closely with the Production Supervisors you will assist to ensure high quality procedures, standards and specifications are being met. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a combination of office and glasshouse environments as part of a team and who has an eye for detail. **Fluent English is essential as is a full UK licence** in order to drive between sites where necessary, experience working within horticulture is not essential.

**Key Areas of Responsibility**:

- Inspection of incoming materials i.e. plants/plugs/packaging to ensure that they meet the specification required.
- Ensure that the Production Team have access to and are working to the correct barcodes, labels, trolley configurations and product specifications.
- Ensure the product is to the required standard and specification at dispatch.
- Oversee quality at various stages of the plant growth and raise any concerns, undertaking periodic stock counts.
- Sending customer finished product samples/images.
- Ensure product traceability throughout production process is maintained.
- Ensure quality related paperwork is filled in accurately.

Part-time hours: 24 - 40 per week

**Salary**: From £10.50 per hour
