**Job Summary**
An exciting opportunity has risen in our expanding business for a professional, motivated individual with a positive attitude to join our dynamic Transport Department to contribute towards the day to day running of the business.

The role is diverse with responsibilities ranging from:

- General Administrative Duties; Answering and making phone calls to Customers, Suppliers, Drivers and other third parties,
- Accepting and dealing with customer’s orders, tracking orders, and continually providing customers with updates. Ensuring all the required information has been received and has been communicated,
- Accurate data input
- Communicating and arranging sub-contractors,
- Booking Ferries and recording shipments,
- Sending drivers required information and helping with problems,
- Helping the Fleet Manager with all Maintenance related duties,
- Managing POD’s, CMRS and all paperwork within Transport Office,
- Completing Customs paperwork, such as Transits & TSS,
- Assisting Senior Planners with route planning, driver allocation,
- Adhering to all Company Health and Safety Practices.
- **Desirable Skills;**_
- Previous Administrative or Transport Planning Experience,
- GSCE Qualifications
- English C or above
- **Essential Skills**_
- An interest / knowledge in the Transport Sector,
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
- Competent use of MS Office - particularly Microsoft Excel and Outlook,
- Organisational skills, including; Good time keeping and prioritizing tasks,
- High attention to detail, professional & approachable,
- Can work as part of a team as well as using their own initiative
- positive can-do attitude,
- Can work under pressure to meet deadlines for the business, customers, and drivers
- Willing to adapt to changing situations.

Hours of work is 8am - 6pm, Monday to Friday
- pending on the business needs Saturdays maybe required. On the job training will be provided to increase your skillset, allowing overtime the opportunity for career progression to the role of a Transport Planner.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £8.60-£11.44 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Work Location: In person
