**Your role**

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Planner to join our Catch & Collect team based in Dungannon.

The Senior Transport Planner (NI) will supervise NI Transport Operations across Moy Park Logistics function.

This role will be responsible for coordinating the planning of transport requirements on a day 1 / day 2 or 3 basis for requested loads so that the team meet the required service and cost performance targets.

**What you’ll need**

**Essential Criteria**
- 5 years + transport experience in a fast paced multi-site Own account and 3PL Logistics operation.
- Strong analytical and good knowledge of driving logístical performance against agreed operational KPIs.
- Able to react quickly and calmly in delivering practical solutions to operational issues.
- Experienced in the use of IT systems especially Microsoft workplace packages.
- Experienced in managing logistics planning teams and their performance.
- Worked closely with manufacturing colleagues to deliver high levels of service.
- Experience planning live animal transport
- A solid grasp of H&S / environmental legislation in a highly demanding manufacturing transport function.
- Knowledge of DVSA regulations.
- Excellent personal time management.

**Desirable Criteria**
- Experience in use of automated routing and scheduling systems.
- Experience in use of and interrogation of vehicle Telematics systems and associated data.
- IOSH H&S certificate.
- Previous experience with dealing with 3PL / 4PL logistics providers.
- Experience of developing procedures, policies and audits.
- Experience in delivering continuous improvement initiatives.
- Current CPC in standard National Operators license.
- Current CPC in International Road Transport Operations.
- Current First Aid Qualification.
- Strong understanding of vehicles and trailer maintenance compliance.
- Knowledge of legislation around transporting live animals and agricultural product.
- Experience in managing frozen and short shelf life chilled food transport operations.
- Customer facing experience and proactive resolution of issues.
