Unipart Logistics (UL) has secured a contract to run the new, custom-built Jaguar Land Rover Global Parts Logistics Centre at Appleby Magna in Leicestershire. The operation will be housed at Jaguar Land Rover’s new 2.94m square foot Mercia campus, oneof the largest UK warehouse developments for a single customer. With a multimillion-pound major facility investment program already underway, we would like you to join us now to be part of the core team. Working within a fast-paced warehousing and distribution environment, you will be required to support day to day Freight administration.
**Transport Planner Responsibilities**:
You will be responsible for the co-ordination and control of transportation bookings and all required documentation covering all transport modes for the customer Jaguar Land Rover.
- Transport bookings covering air, road and sea.
- Processing all shipment documentation in accordance with local and customer regulatory requirements.
- Monitoring shipments and providing updates to the customer as required, or by exception.
- Working as part of a team supporting the global inbound and outbound transportation requirements for JLR.
- Liaising with the customer and internal functions to ensure all shipments are processed and dispatched in a timely manner with accuracy and quality.
- Shipping non-hazardous and hazardous cargo, full training will be provided.

**Transport Planner Requirements**:

- Self-motivated
- Customer focus
- Good communication skills
- Ability to cope with the demands of a fast-moving and ever-changing set of priorities
- Good attention to detail
- 3PL experience advantageous
- Ability to work to targets and timescales
