The Together Housing Group is currently enjoying a period of growth - to support our service delivery plans we are looking for a new specialist income officer to join our experienced and wide-ranging income team.

This is a permanent position. You will be working 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday. Working arrangements are flexible in line with our Smart Working culture so that we deliver an excellent and accessible service for customers.

The role will be based from home with occasional meetings in Wakefield as per the service demands. This is likely to be once a month, but may be more frequently depending upon service demands.

The successful applicant will be working to maximise collection of tenancy related charges & any other identified income to the organisation. You will also promote the sustainment of tenancies through income collection & will be expected to share & promote good practice in income collection.What you’ll be doing

To identify barriers to tenants in sustaining their tenancy through rent arrears, working with them to overcome with help from internal and external providers.

To ensure high level of performance and management of collection of income in accordance with the organisation’s policies and procedures.

To provide advice and assistance to customers regarding tenancy-related debt and benefits.

To accurately record and monitor cases of tenancy-related debt on a variety of computer systems and in preparation for court.

To ensure your individual performance targets are met in line with the team and Board targets.

What we ask of you

Experience of working with customers dealing with a broad range of income management duties

Experience of involving and engaging customers and stakeholders

Experience of inputting and retrieving data on computerised information systems including Microsoft packages

Able to manage confidential / personal information appropriately and sensitively

It would also be ideal if you were educated to a minimum of 2 A Levels / HNC / HND or equivalentA great place to work Together
