**We are looking for an enthusiastic Tool Hire Assistant to join our team at Jewson Basingstoke (RG24 8PY)**

As a **Tool Hire Assistant**, your role will be essential to keeping our branch and tool hire department running smoothly. This role has a strong focus on customer service, delivery and collection of our hire equipment and general tool maintenancein the workshop.

We're a busy and well established branch with a friendly team who pride themselves on offering a great service and excellent product knowledge. We have a sales office, warehouse, shop & counter, timber supply and customer delivery vehicles. If you love workingwith people, you're a good listener and you think you could help our customers feel welcome, then this could be a great opportunity for you to join our team

- A keen interest in DIY or working with various tools at home on projects.
- Customer service experience
- Experience repairing and maintaining tools in branch
- A full, clean driving license is required for this role
- **What will I be doing?**_

Your day to day responsibilities will look like this:

- Develop great relationships with new and existing customers (both face to face and over the phone)
- Understand customer needs and provide proactive advice and solutions
- Use our in-house systems to process customer orders and keep accurate records of maintenance
- Responsible for tool hire delivery and collection whilst keeping customers updated throughout their journey
- Attach trailers and tow equipment to branch delivery vehicles (training will be provided)
- Carry out basic maintenance and cleaning of our tool hire equipment in the workshop
- Make Health & Safety a priority and demonstrate how you can keep yourself and others safe at work
- Work with colleagues to suggest opportunities for improvement

**Hours of work**:7:30am-17:00pm Monday to Friday and 8:00am-12:00pm every other Saturday
