Working as a member of the Trust’s Senior Leadership Team, the post holder will be key to achieving North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust’s strategy and vision.
The post holder will be at the forefront of developing and driving measurable improvement through a structured process to support safety, culture, financial and structural sustainability.
The role focuses on driving continuous improvement, enhancing patient safety, productivity and sustainability - by ensuring high standards of effectiveness across the Trust.
Leveraging extensive experience - preferably gained in senior clinical leadership and NHS Board-level roles - the Director of Service Improvement & Clinical Effectiveness will be responsible for leading and overseeing the Trust’s comprehensive improvement programme, which includes planned care, unplanned care, and safe culture initiatives.
In this role, the post holder will formally lead the Trust’s improvement programme planning & delivery, performance oversight & assurance, leadership development and organisational development (OD) functions, which are critical to the overall success and advancement of North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust in the interests of patients, service users, colleagues and communities.
In doing so, the post holder will lead the establishment of an academy-model to build internal capabilities and foster a culture of continuous improvement and clinical and operational excellence.
As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the post holder will provide insight, support, advice, and the experience and skills, to deliver measurable and sustained improvement. The post holder will support the Trust’s engagement with local authorities, Members of Parliament, NHS England, the Integrated Care Board, Integrated Care Partnership, the Care Quality Commission and regulators.
The Director of Clinical Effectiveness & Improvement will participate in the Strategic on call rota.

**Standard Check**: £18 + Administration cost of £3.85 = £21.85. Deducted at £6.85 from 1st month salary and £5 deducted from salary over following 3 months.
**Enhanced Check**: £38 + administration cost of £3.90 = £41.90. Deducted at £11.90 from 1st month salary and £10 deducted from salary over following 3 months.
