Acorn is seeking Trainee Water Hygiene Technician for their client based near Berkeley, Gloucestershire. This is a great opportunity to retrain, as no experience is necessary - although a background in plumbing or building maintenance would be beneficial.
As Trainee Water Hygiene Technician, you may have some basic knowledge of water systems and have ideally worked in a customer facing role previously. You will have a friendly flexible approach to your job and be confident in working as part of a team as wellas independently.

**Tasks**:

- Temperature monitoring, routine sampling, and analysing water systems
- Assist with tank cleaning and disinfection
- Showerhead cleaning and descaling
- Assist with cleaning and chlorination on both hot and cold-water systems and cooling towers
- CWST inspections
- Assist with the maintenance and servicing of TMVs
Essential skills and qualifications:

- Experience in a customer-facing role
- Full UK driving license
- Basic IT skills (able to use phone/tablet to record information, take photos, etc.)
- Attention to detail
- Competent in working independently
- Flexible
- Organised - can manage their own paperwork and expenses
Desirable skills and qualifications:

- Experience of water systems
- Plumbing or Water Hygiene Qualifications
- Health and Safety Training i.e., Working at Height, Asbestos Awareness, COSHH
- Awareness
- Enhanced DBS check completed in the last 2 years

**Salary**: £18k - £22k per annum + company vehicle
