We provide a unique combination of exclusive products, support and guidance to intermediaries and their clients from enquiry to completion of their building project.

The broker desk consultant acts as a vital key contact to the adviser, to provide them with the confidence to offer their customers advice on what can otherwise be a complex and difficult to navigate area of finance.

**The Role**:

- Assist intermediaries with new mortgage finance enquiries, listening and understanding their clients needs and identifying and explaining potential mortgage solutions
- Explaining the features and benefits of BuildLoan’s products and support services, overcoming objections and securing the sale
- Proactively contact newly registered intermediaries to introduce and explain how BuildLoan can help them and their client
- Provide guidance as support in submitting finance enquiries to our CRM system.
- Review enquiries, research suitable solutions and provide product details and evidence of research to the intermediary
- Guide the intermediary through the decision in principle process and liaise with the lender to obtain a positive outcome
- Undertake Continuous Professional Development to maintain knowledge of both lender products and criteria and those of competitors
- Maintain a high level, of knowledge of regulatory matters including Consumer Duty
- Where appropriate refer enquiries to BuildLoan’s bridging and regulated development finance team

**The Individual**
The Broker Desk Consultant must be able to demonstrate a record of delivering great service to secure business and exceed targets, demonstrating a positive attitude to sales which should be infectious to the rest of the team.

You must be able to follow a sales process designed to help you to maximise opportunities.

With a background in Financial Services the individual should have a genuine interest in self-build and a willingness to educate the intermediary, pitching this at the correct level and recognising the need to build long term relationships.

You will be looking for a long-term career in a genuinely interesting sector with the real opportunity for further career development.
