**The Role**:

We are now looking for Trainee Operatives for our Traffic Management contract in Wokingham, Berkshire.
Trainee Operatives are responsible for working with both the direct labour and sub-contract labour, meeting targets and deadlines on time. These include the operation of Traffic Lights and Plant, where trained and certificated with the addition of various other aspects of Traffic Management.
**Key Accountabilities**:
- To work to the NHSS 12 accreditation.
- Closing roads
- Being able to read and interpret CAD traffic management drawings.
- Setting up Lane Closures.
- Setting up traffic lights.
- Maintaining and remove traffic management within the required time scales.
- Site clearance.
- Assisting with the diversion of traffic.
- To ensure the team works in a safe and effective manner to achieve optimum output and to the required quality.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety at Work Act at all times.
- Be aware and comply with VolkerHighways Health & Safety, quality, and Environmental policies.
- To help with the unloading/loading of materials.
- Ensure safe working practices are followed as outlined in Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
- Reporting vehicle and plant defects to Foreman.
**Skills & Experience**:
- Entry level NHSS12 - TTMBC Qualification
- Willingness to learn
- Any construction experience would be advantageous
