**About the Role**
PeacePlayers-Northern Ireland is seeking a proactive and passionate **Local Project Coordinator** (LPC) to lead the planning and delivery of our good relations through sport programmes within the Belfast City Council area.
The LPC will be responsible for programme coordination, stakeholder engagement, coach recruitment, and supporting youth development initiatives. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone experienced in good relations programming, youth development, and/or sport-based programming.
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Community Engagement & Networking** (10% estimated time allocation)Build partnerships with schools, community groups, and local stakeholders. Recruit local coaches and establish a local steering group.
- **Programme Delivery & Coordination**:
- **In-School Twinning Programmes** (25% estimated time allocation)Coordinate school partnerships, manage scheduling, coach engagement, logistics, and monitor participation.
- **Bridging Divides Programmes** (25% estimated time allocation)Coordinate recruitment and delivery of youth programmes for ages 9-18, including TBUC and UYI-funded initiatives.
- **Leadership Development Programmes** (25% estimated time allocation)Coordinate sessions for youth aged 11-18, including experiential learning, leadership training, and programme development.
**General Duties** (15% estimated time allocation)
- Uphold PeacePlayers’ core values, support event delivery (e.g. Jingle Ball, Summer Jam), attend staff meetings, and assist with coach training / development and programme facilitation.

**Essential Criteria**
- **Education & Qualifications**_
- Relevant third-level qualification (e.g. youth work, community development, education, sports management) OR 3 years equivalent professional experience.
- **Experience**_
- Proven experience in youth and/or good relations, sports coordination or programme delivery
- Experience coordinating logistics for youth or school-based programmes
- Experience engaging with children and young people from diverse backgrounds
Experience of leading or managing a team.

- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with schools, funders, and local stakeholders
- Confident in facilitating group activities or meetings
- **ICT & Monitoring Skills**_
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar, etc.)
- **Work Approach**_
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and collaboratively
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
- Demonstrates alignment with PeacePlayers’ core values
- **Other Requirements**_
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required
- Able to travel across the Belfast area
**Desirable Criteria**
- Qualification in peace-building, conflict resolution, or youth leadership, sports based delivery
- Experience working in Youth or Good Relations programmes in Northern Ireland
- Experience managing or mentoring coaches or volunteers
- Experience delivering or supporting facilitation in youth development or peacebuilding
- Conflict resolution or mediation skills
- Familiarity with digital reporting tools/dashboards
- Experience contributing to curriculum or programme design
- Full, clean driving licence and access to a vehicle
