**About this opportunity**
We are seeking to recruit a full-time fixed term Homelessness Officer (12 months from appointment) to work across the Carlisle locality, as part of a wider integrated response to preventing homelessness and ending rough sleeping.
The role will be varied and rewarding, requiring excellent communication skills to engage appropriately with vulnerable adults who often have a variety of complex needs and rehousing challenges.

**Who we’re looking for**:
- Experience of working with marginalised, disadvantaged and vulnerable people with complex needs
- Experience of working within housing / or homelessness services
- Knowledge of homelessness and housing legislation, issues surrounding housing, homelessness and preventing homelessness
- Self-motivating, organised and able to work under pressure to meet service demands
- Computer literate
- Committed to the delivery of customer focused services and continuous service improvement
- Committed to and have experience of working in partnership to achieve results
