This permanent position offers a structured pathway to success. In your first year, you will undergo comprehensive training whilst working towards achieving the **AAT Level 2 Apprenticeship** qualification through our apprenticeship provider Paragon.

Paragon Skills is an award-winning national apprenticeship provider and are rated the number one provider at the “Rate my Apprenticeship” top 50 providers. This is voted solely by Apprentices.

Guided by experienced professionals, you will gain invaluable practical experience and theoretical knowledge. Upon successful completion of exams and courses, you will confidently transition into a an Accounting position. This transformative journey will equip you with the skills and expertise to thrive in the accounting world, setting the foundations for a prosperous and fulfilling career.

**Role Overview**

As a FP&A (Financial Planning and Analysis) Apprentice, you will play a crucial role in supporting our finance team with various financial planning, analysis, and reporting tasks. This apprenticeship will provide you with valuable hands-on experience in the world of finance and accounting, allowing you to develop skills that are essential for a successful career in the field while working in a supportive and collaborative environment.

**Role and responsibilities**:

- **Financial Analysis**: Assist in analysing financial data to provide insights and recommendations for improving financial performance and business decision-making.
- **Budgeting and Forecasting**: Collaborate with the finance team to contribute to the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
- **Management Reporting**: Prepare regular financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for management, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) and variances.
- **Data Integrity**: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data by performing reconciliations and validations.
- **Variance Analysis**: Investigate and explain financial variances between actual results and budget/forecast, helping identify areas for improvement.
- **Ad hoc Analysis**: Assist in conducting special financial analyses or projects as required, providing insights to support strategic decision-making.
- **Process Improvement**: Contribute to the enhancement of financial processes and reporting methodologies to streamline operations and increase efficiency.
- **Cross-functional Collaboration**: Collaborate with other departments to gather relevant data and insights for financial analysis, ensuring a holistic view of the business's financial performance.

**Skills and Experience Required**:

- A strong interest in finance, accounting, and data analysis.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software/tools.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new concepts and technologies in finance.

**Qualification and Education Requirements**:

- Basic understanding of financial principles and concepts.
- Prior experience in a finance-related role, internship, or coursework is a plus.
- Enthusiasm for pursuing a career in finance and a desire to obtain a professional accountancy qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) in the future.
