Search are currently recruiting for a procurement administrator for one of our supply chain management clients who are looking to grow their team due to a contract win

Duties include:

- Receiving customer enquiries and logging onto the system along with sending out enquiries to our suppliers for pricing and producing our quotes to client.
- Obtaining any other information the client may require for example: specification sheets or list of materials etc.
- Responsibility for working on accounts, including adding sales orders / purchase invoices / bank accounts and matching these.
- Resolve issues relating to accuracy of deliveries, quality rejects, invoice queries, overdue orders and production shortages.
- Reacting to system messages to expedite, defer or cancel open order lines.
- Strong negotiation skills
- Good interpersonal and team working skills
- Flexible and capable of working in a complex environment
- Be capable of interfacing professionally with customers and suppliers
- Resourceful, self-motivated and confident, ability to work on own initiative
- Hands on, make things happen approach
- Excellent level of communication skills and customer interaction
- Commercial awareness
- Good judgement and decision making skills
- Experience of dealing with multiple teams/sites
- Excellent IT literacy particularly competent in use of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Publisher, etc

There are also some desirable qualities that would be advantageous:

- A background in shipping
- Working experience in an engineering or electrical company
- CIPs experience

OR
- A recent graduate - finance, engineering, procurement
