Job description:
**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
If you are a quality focused software engineer who thrives on building automation frameworks and driving high quality agile development practices into a team, then this is the role for you
We are looking for a Test Automation Engineer who is ready to take the current automation and enhance the tooling and tests to help build some of the most innovative cyber security products on the market. You'll get exposure to working with lots of differenttechnologies and bring them together.
**WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING**:

- Developing and owning the test automation framework and integration of the framework with the CI/CD pipelines
- Working with the DevOps team to ensure that platform infrastructure meets security hardening guidelines and can be deployed in a repeatable and reliable way
- Proactively troubleshooting bugs and issues, providing clear reproduction steps, logs and screenshots to help reduce resolution time
- Working within an agile team to deliver value efficiently to our customers.

But thats not all - you can also expect to
- Produce high quality, customer facing acceptance test reporting as well as reporting on product quality by using measures and metrics
- Develop robust and cost effective automation framework infrastructure and tests
- Research and develop of tool choices
- Create realistic test data based on customer usage patterns
**WHO YOU ARE**:
Ideally a QA expert or a Test Lead, you'll be happy owning the integration and system testing of components developed by multiple engineering teams, using your strong influencing and inter-personal communication skills to engage with Product Managers tobuild detailed but efficient test plans and test cases.
Its essential that you have:

- Strong influencing and inter-personal communication skills
- A curious manner - the initiative to ask questions, get stuck in and find your way
- Experience of working within an Agile organisation
- Coding skills in Java, Python or similar languages
- Architecture and design skills for automation frameworks and tools
- Significant hands-on experience with Linux as well as AWS or other cloud infrastructure providers
**It would be a bonus if you also had**
- Experience working with RESTful APIs, relational databases, and containerisation technology, for example Kubernetes or Docker
- Test management/leadership skills
- Experience of working with Cyber related products
- Amindset of continuous improvement and desire to be an ambassador for change - it’s not just about getting the task done it’s about making things simpler and easier in the future.
- A love of learning - you’ll like to maintain a good knowledge of technologies and techniques in a field that is constantly evolving
