We are searching to find a truly exceptional individual to work in our Surveying Services Team which is an integral part the Property Services Directorate.
**About the role**
Reporting to the Surveying Services Manager you will carry out surveying activities within the Paradigm Property Services Team. Work includes, but is not limited to, Mutual Exchange, Damp-and-Mould, Home Improvement inspections, Post Inspections of Disabled Facilities Grant works, Energy Performance Certificates, etc. You will need to be organised, disciplined and flexible; around 80% of your time will be spent ‘on-site’ carrying out inspections - for the remainder of the time, you will be office based. The work is interesting and varied. Your line manager is an experienced Chartered Surveyor, you will work alongside other experienced and competent Surveyors and Inspectors who will look to you for help and advice. You will need to work collaboratively and to a high standard.
Your effective planning skills will be utilised to ensure the team works efficiently to meet the needs of the customer and colleagues in delivering consistent customer focussed and value for money services.
**About you**
You should be organised, disciplined and flexible. The work is interesting and varied and you will need to work collaboratively ensuring that all works are carried out to a high standard and maintaining customer satisfaction. You should have the following skills/experience:
- An ability to work in a team but also be capable of working independently.
- To work alongside other team and staff colleagues, plan resources, and monitor performance successfully to achieve service objectives.
- An understanding of housing management and experience in the management of repairs.
- Proficiency in IT and an understanding of the value and use of new technologies in improving services.
- A commitment to excellent service delivery and the ability to deliver customer outcomes.
- The ability to effectively communicate, orally and in writing
- Good organisational skills with ability to plan workload, manage time effectively and meet deadlines whilst working under pressure.
- An inclusive person, who seeks realisation of goals and results through working in partnership with others.
- Possess enthusiasm, drive and determination and remain objective under complex, stressful, and diverse conditions to reach optimum outcomes.
- Influential and persuasive but also able to listen and develop ideas from others.
- A ‘common sense’ attitude and a ‘hands on’ approach.

- **Full driving licence **(preferably clean) and own vehicle. Business milage will be paid at the prevailing rate (currently 0.45p per mile up to first 10,000 miles p/a.
- ** A reasonable level of physical fitness **is required for the role as there will be some surveying using ladders to access lofts and going up scaffolds as may be required.
