Our client is an international developer of projects within the rapidly expanding offshore wind industry. The company has the objective of developing a global portfolio of innovative joint venture and wholly owned projects within the emerging deep water offshore wind market. The business operates globally and has experienced rapid growth in the past two years as new projects have been identified and developed.

Due to this growth, the company is looking to recruit a UK Finance Lead to support the Group Finance Manager and Chief Financial Officer. The UK Finance Lead will be responsible for UK financial reporting and will also assist the Group Finance Manager and CFO on international operations and corporate and project financing.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Preparation of UK management accounts, including, monthly cash flow, profit and loss and balance sheet as well as preparing monthly and quarterly forecasts
- Develop and lead the process of financial reporting to parent company
- Delivery of accurate internal and external monthly reporting, including preparation of board packs and responding to queries from board members
- Responsibility for accounting for joint venture and associate companies, including statutory reporting
- Support the production of consolidated financial statements under IFRS
- Lead the delivery of the group audit by working with auditors
- Lead preparation of statutory accounts for UK group entities
- Review of quarterly VAT return
- Manage the payment of supplier invoices and monitoring of overall working capital position in UK
- Management of monthly joint venture billing and cash calls for joint venture partners
- Management of monthly bank and payroll reconciliation

**Qualifications, Skills & Experience**:

- Degree educated in Business Administration, Accounting and Finance or similar
- Professional qualifications with ICAS, ACCA, ICAEW or equivalent
- Broad understanding of financial and commercial issues and risks related to projects within the energy sector
- Ability to proactively resolve budgeting and cost schedule challenges
- Strong verbal and written communications with an ability to interact with a variety of internal and external stakeholders and speak confidently to senior stakeholders
- Experience working in an international group or working with international clients desirable.
- Experience with the Xero accounting system (or other similar accounting system)
