Hutcheon Mearns are delighted to be working exclusively with an organisation in the third sector to recruit a Transactional Finance Lead on a full-time, permanent basis. This role is based in Aberdeen City Centre with an extremely flexible hybrid working pattern requiring just two office days per week. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, this is a key leadership position responsible for managing and developing the transactional finance functions to ensure compliance, accuracy and efficiency.

**The Opportunity**
- Lead and manage the transactional finance team to deliver accurate and timely processing
- Oversee sales ledger, purchase ledger, and cash management activities
- Ensure month-end and year-end tasks are completed to a high standard
- Support the Head of Finance with management accounts, variance analysis, budgets and forecasts
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains
- Maintain awareness of regulatory requirements including SORP reporting, FRS 102 and VAT compliance

**Background and Experience**
We’re looking for a motivated finance professional with:

- Experience leading transactional finance teams in a fast-paced environment
- Strong technical knowledge across AP, AR, and cash management
- Proven track record of delivering month-end and year-end processes
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to develop and support a team
- Awareness of regulatory and compliance frameworks relevant to finance operations
