**How you will make an impact as an Accounts Assistant**:
- Receive, verify, and process supplier invoices.
- Rejection of invalid supplier invoices
- To ensure purchase orders match corresponding invoices and have been correctly raised for an easy voucher entry process
- Manual payments for one-time vendors/foreign suppliers.
- Ensuring an accurate file is kept for SO's / DD's and retrieving / processing invoices relating to all payments made, for future records and audit purposes
- Supplier reconciliations to ensure any missing invoices and differences are captured
- Reporting daily cash inflows to the Management Team.
- Obtain remittances from customers, manage the remittances, and correct where necessary
- Review and resolve unapplied cash, incorporating meaningful comments where there are issues
- Monitoring and allocation of cheques
- Management of cheque payments made including writing and cancelling cheques
- Work to minimise the level of the companies unapplied cash amount and volume
- Monthly balance sheet support pack with schedules and reconciliation are completed for AP any other balance sheet items
- Month-end closing procedures
- Review the accuracy of supplier standing information
- Understanding of procurement and purchase order processes
- Work with Credit Control and Management Accountants to ensure customer records are kept up to date
**Required Skills**:
**What you will bring to be an Accountants Assistant**:
- 1 year previous experience
- Experience in financial transaction processing.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Working towards an accounting qualification. (ACCA/CIMA)
