Axon Moore are exclusively partnering with a large private equity backed services group based in Lancashire who are looking to bring in a new Group Financial Controller. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business that has gone through continuousgrowth and looking to bring in a strong calibre individual who can help drive strategy and significant change across a central finance function. This role will work closely with the board of directors and report directly to a high calibre Group Finance Director.
A key role within the senior management team, leading the Group finance function, including group reporting, management reporting, tax, treasury, payroll and financial planning.
Responsible for the implementation of appropriate policies, procedures, and processes to ensure an effective control environment; providing key strategic information to the leadership team to inform decision making; and generating insight to drive businessperformance.
**Key Accountabilities**:

- Ownership and development of the Group finance function
- Revamp and strengthen financial processes and controls across the Group
- Implement a robust month-end close process, and ensure timely and accurate delivery of management information to the leadership team
- Encourage a partnering mindset through the team to support internal decision making
- Review the consolidation of monthly results and the monthly Board reports
- Consolidation and reporting of Group budgets and forecasts
- Treasury and Cash management including robust cash forecasting and covenant compliance
- External reporting, including management of reporting to lenders, and other key stakeholders
- Finance leader on the Group’s ERP system - leveraging system processes and controls to drive financial effectiveness and efficiency
- Leading, coaching and developing the finance team

Salary is £80k - £90k + car + bonus
You will be a qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) and have a solid technical track record of delivery within a changing environment. Experience and active participation in a large corporate environment would be beneficial but not crucial. You will however needto have excellent core finance experience and can thrive within a fast-paced and complex environment. Experience of building and leading a central finance team is essential.
