**Medical Receptionist - Hendon NW4**

Receptionist wanted to work for a busy, friendly, doctor’s surgery in Sunningfields Road NW4.

Priority will be given to those with reception experience within a GP practice/healthcare organisation. Those who can prove they have transferrable skills are also welcome to apply.

Hours of work would be:
- Monday - 12:00 to 19:00 (6.5 hours with 30 min lunch)
- Tuesday - 12:00 to 19:00 (6.5 hours with 30 min lunch)
- Wednesday - 12:00 to 19:00 (6.5 hours with 30 min lunch)
- Thursday - 12:00 to 19:00 (6.5 hours with 30 min lunch)
- Friday - 12:00 to 19:00 (6.5 hours with 30 min lunch)

Total of 32.5 hours, and you may be asked to do additional hours to cover absence.

Pay is £11.44 per hour rising to £13.15 after full training.

Note for students: If you are studying (or plan to study) at college/university please ensure you are free to do the hours and days specified above before you apply. We need a person who can work every day stated, during the hours stated. We will not adapt to fit your timetable.

Job Description: Medical Receptionist

**Responsibilities**:

- Greet and check-in patients upon arrival
- Schedule and confirm appointments
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or staff member
- Collect and update patient information in the electronic medical records system
- Verify insurance coverage and process necessary paperwork
- Assist with billing and payment processing
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar administrative role
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Proficient in using computer systems and electronic medical records software
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- High school diploma or equivalent
