Maryculter House is one of the most famous and historic hotels in Aberdeen. Nestled on the banks of the River Dee, many of our 40 bedrooms boats stunning views coupled with contemporary Scottish interiors.

Your role as Housekeeping Supervisor is to support and report to the Housekeeping Manager. Your role includes maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in all bedrooms, corridors and store areas, as set by the hotel to always ensure guest comfort. You will work alongside the Room Attendants to create a positive working environment.

Hours of work 25-32 hours per week. Weekend availability is essential for this role.

Main Responsibilities
- Liaise with Head Housekeeper and Reception and obtain list of rooms for cleaning priorities for potential early check-ins
- Allocate duties to Room Attendants and inspect work carried out to ensure standards are being consistently met giving guidance where required.
- Co-ordinate the work activities between the team members available to ensure team works as effectively as possible
- clean rooms when required
- Report any concerns to Housekeeping Manager
- Carry out any training with Housekeeping Assistants as required.

Advise Head of Housekeeping/Reception when rooms are completed.
- Represent the hotel positively at all times when dealing with enquiries from guests
- Ensure high standards are maintained in all areas of work
- Check that empty rooms are suitably prepared for occupancy.
- Remove all food trays and rubbish from rooms. Close all doors.
- Service rooms one at a time as required ensuring all arrival rooms are attended to first so they can be re-let
- Ensure that all corridors and stairways in area of responsibility are cleaned every day after rooms have been serviced.
- Remove soiled laundry to laundry room.
- Clean out and refill trolley and ensure store areas are kept clean and tidy
- Report and record any lost and found property in accordance with hotel procedures
- Report any unusual or suspicious behaviour to the manager
- Maintains high confidentiality in regards to guest privacy
- Assist with the ongoing training of new staff
- Re-use and recycle wherever possible

Please note that Maryculter house is not serviced by Public Transport.
