Based in our new workshop in Aberdeen, you'll play a pivotal role in engine repair, overhaul, and maintenance. With access to OEM training from leading brands such as MTU, MAN, and Geislinger, as well as industry partnerships, you'll have the resources to enhance your skills and expertise.

The Bartech Workshop Supervisor will support and develop the workshop team, reporting into the General Manager. This role will include the organisation of workshop activities, responsibility for engineer documentation, development of processes and involvement with overhauls and repairs. This role is based on 50% in the workshop and 50% in the office. Following HSQE policies, procedures, and strategies are essential.

The Workshop Supervisor is expected to:

- Organise the workshop for Inhouse Engineering projects.
- Support logístical operations of the workshop team
- Take responsibility for workshop equipment, vehicles, tooling, and consumables to ensure they are available, maintained, and safe always.
- Support and complete overhauls and repairs of critical engines and sub-assemblies.
- Support development of Apprentice and Junior Workshop Engineers.
- Develop and support the Workshop SOPs process.
- Support Project Managers to complete work scopes on time and within budget. Raising any deviations at the earliest opportunity, providing ideas to bring back on track.
- Report poor quality items received by our suppliers.
- Ensure health and safety practices are always performed to the correct standard and in line with Bartech Marine policies and procedures.
- Ensure a safe working environment by leading by example on the implementation of Health and Safety policies, systems, procedures, and legislations
- Take immediate and appropriate steps to investigate and rectify any risks to health and safety.
- Carryout ongoing inspections of workshop to ensure all areas are kept clean. Report any lack of housekeeping to General Manager
- Compile and deliver Toolbox talks to the workshop team
- Full implementation of HSQE Policies and Procedures inhouse

Pay: £42,000.00-£49,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Aberdeen: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Supervising: 3 years (preferred)
- Diesel engine: 5 years (required)
