Join us as a Middle Office Lead
- We’re looking for someone to lead a team of first line risk experts to support our organisation and monitor across credit
- and fraud-associated risk specialisms

**What you’ll do**:
You’ll lead and engage with credit, fraud and the second line of defence so they are informed of product initiatives and developments that can proactively identify key risk drivers and success factors and author relevant risk appetite asks to ensure the risk profile is managed.

We’ll look to you to manage the strategic formulation, implementation and enhancement of credit, fraud, and risks. You’ll also develop the middle office team to deliver customer risk assessment activity within credit scoring parameters, agreed processes and business approval authorities.

You’ll also be responsible for:

- Leading a diverse team of first line risk experts to support safe merchant origination and monitoring across credit
- and fraud-associated risk specialisms
- Driving the enhancement of the Middle Office function to achieve business strategic objectives in the highly dynamic ventures context
- Setting and delivering against challenging service levels through actively seeking opportunities to automate with SLOD oversight while adjusting parameters of the risk framework

**The skills you’ll need**:
To succeed in this role, you’ll have a formal banking qualification or equivalent professional experience with accreditation aligned to a previously held role or a commitment to obtain within 12 months. You’ll also maintain this knowledge through continuous development.

We’ll expect you to have good leadership, influencing and communication skills demonstrated through adoption of Determined to Lead tools, or similar external tools, and principles and facilitating effective people management through resource management, delegation and team building skills.

You’ll also need:

- Good performance management and coaching skills
- Good knowledge of credit policy and economic, legal, and regulatory issues
- Excellent knowledge of underwriting processes and systems
- To be an experienced lender with sound technical credit or risk skills with good commercial awareness
- An understanding of how to shape deals to create fair customer outcomes while protecting our position
