**Peabody**has an exciting opportunity for an **Environment Caretaker** on a **Full time, Permanent** **basis**based in **Battersea Power Station, London **. **In return you will receive a competitive salary of **£23,500 per annum.**

**What we're looking for in our Environment Caretaker**:

- Experience in caretaking services
- Knowledge of Health and Safety
- Experience in customer service
- Knowledge of IT systems
- Full UK Driving Licence (Desirable)

**What you can expect to be doing as our Environment Caretaker**:

- Cleaning communal internal* and external areas in line with agreed schedule, targets and priorities
- *Including nurseries, TA Halls, community centres etc. (to certain estates)
- Removing refuse bags and household items from hopper head areas, outside refuse chambers and other communal areas.
- Cleaning overspill from refuse collection
- Changing paladin bins under refuse chute as necessary
- Cleaning estate signs and low-level light bollards as necessary
- Clearing blocked rubbish chutes
- Cleaning internal & external glass (where accessible)
- Removing graffiti
- Removing and storing (as appropriate) bulk rubbish in designated area
- Where necessary, makes safe broken windows/doors etc, pending repair by Maintenance staff
- Clearing gutters, drain covers, hopper heads
- Where appropriate, unblocking drains, including kitchen drains (external to properties)
- Reporting any estate defects, fly-tipping or anti-social behaviour to the appropriate authorities
- Checking communal lighting/timers and reporting blown bulbs as necessary, (including office light bulbs) and emergency testing done monthly
- Inspecting and recording Playareas weekly
- Securing estate gates and doors where appropriate
- Where Fire Brigade keys are not fitted, assist contractors etc. with access to intake cupboards
- Advising Team Manager/Supervisor of equipment to be ordered
- Ensuring stores and equipment are secure and accounted for
- Delivering Trust letters, circulars etc as appropriate to residents’ properties
- Actively engaging and participating in regular scheduled one 2 one meetings with Team Manager/Supervisor
